Surrounded by some of the most unspoiled and diverse rainforest in the world, Playa Cativo is a beachfront boutique eco-lodge located on the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce, the inner side of the Osa Peninsula in southern Costa Rica. Golfo Dulce is considered the only tropical fiord in the Americas. Unique in its native beauty and seclusion, Playa Cativo is accessible exclusively by boat from the towns of Puerto Jimenez and Golfito.
The lodge offers natural luxury, total comfort and outstanding service. With majestic sunset and ocean views, all of the comfortable guest rooms are just a few steps from the beach.
Playa Cativo features seven elegant guest rooms, which are divided into 3 different categories according to their location and size. Every room is beautifully furnished in colonial plantation style, and each as a King bed plus a day bed which can be made up for an extra child or adult. Screens are drawn back during the day so that the rooms are totally open and they are closed at dusk. The bathrooms showcase hand-painted tiles and sinks, rain showers with hot water. Ventilation is provided by ceiling fans and the natural sea breezes. The lodge also offers Wi-Fi.
The à la carte menu presents an interesting variety of options, from traditional to the modern Costa Rican cuisine including selected fusion recipes.
