Poas Volcano National Park remains closed
Authorities from the National System of Conservation Areas, SINAC, have advised that the precautionary closure that has affected Poas Volcano National Park since April 18th will continue permanently and indefinitely.
This closure was necessary due to the increased activity of the volcano, which was exhibited through repeated ash eruptions and tremors that could put visitors, who arrive every day to appreciate the magnitude of the crater and the beautiful surrounding landscape, at risk.
